Success4All’s 2023 Summer School Awarded Outstanding Summer Project
Success4All is thrilled to announce that our 2023 Summer School has been honoured with the ‘Outstanding Summer Project’ award, by StreetGames.
Thanks to the unwavering support of our incredible funders, including the Community Foundation Tyne & Wear, StreetGames, The Barbour Foundation, Hadrian Trust, Skipton Charitable Foundation, and the Greggs Foundation, we were able to offer a unique opportunity to children and young people from our local community by providing them with free enrollment in our Summer School.
In our commitment to reach as many families as possible, our dedicated team organised not one, but three Summer Schools. Each of these week-long programmes began at 8:30am and concluded at 3:30pm.
Our Summer School ensured a full day of engaging activities and learning for our young people.
To keep everyone energised and fueled for their exciting days, we provided a delicious breakfast, a wholesome hot lunch, and snacks to all the children, young adults, and volunteers. Our hot lunches featured delectable and nutritious vegan Portuguese cuisine, a hit among our attendees.
This year, we had the privilege of hosting 117 children and young people from our local community, of which 88% were recipients of Free School Meals.
Our Summer School plays a pivotal role as a lifeline for many families in our community, especially during the summer holidays.
Our programme offers parents and guardians invaluable support during one of the most demanding times of the year while simultaneously keeping their children and young ones mentally and physically engaged. We are humbled by the positive feedback we received from parents and guardians, who appreciated the diverse range of trips and educational opportunities provided for their children.
As one grateful parent exclaimed, “The kids enjoyed all of the activities, and the staff are very kind, cooperative, and caring.”
This year, our Summer School was made even more exceptional with the inclusion of special guests such as Terry Graham from Project North Star Born Lippy, Hat-Trick and Maria Euretes Barradas from Vegan by Goreti.
At Success4All, we are dedicated to making a positive impact on our community, and this award only motivates us to continue our mission of providing enriching experiences and opportunities for our local youth.
