Egg Drop Shop!
Our increasingly popular Learning Bus activity, Egg Drop Shop, took place again this term – this time at St. Augustine’s RC primary school in Darlington! This Learning Bus visit was kindly supported by the Institute of Physics.
Egg drop shop is an activity where children engineer a structure to protect their egg. They work in teams and are given a budget of a fictional £100, which they can spend at the Egg Drop Shop for materials to build with. It’s a race against time until the eggs are dropped from the back window of the bus to investigate which structures worked best.
Well done to the children in Year 5 and 6 at St. Augustine’s for their enthusiasm and very impressive designs.
