SUCCESS4ALL ANNOUNCES NEW PARTNERSHIP WITH THE LANGUAGE CENTRE CIC
Modern Foreign Language uptake amongst UK schools in recent years has been dwindling and with current efforts made by the Department for Education to revive those figures, the pressure is now on schools to support their students.
Success4All is delighted to announce that we have forged a new partnership with the Language Centre CIC.
The 12-month partnership between Success4All and The Language Centre CIC is to promote and encourage Modern Foreign Language uptake among secondary school pupils in the North East of England and to improve English proficiency for pupils who have English as an additional language (EAL).
The year-long agreement between Success4All and the Language Centre CIC will pave the way for improving & promoting access to language learning within schools.
The new partnership complements Success4All’s vast range of existing school services, which includes STEM outreach services and EAL support. With this partnership, we can now roll out our Modern Foreign Language services to schools across the North East.
Together, we will be able to offer GCSE and A-level exam preparation in the 15 languages currently being offered by examination boards AQA and Pearson Edexcel.
Our partnership will also offer schools the opportunity to run after-school language clubs for non-native speakers or after-school English language clubs for those who have English as an additional language.
Busola Afolabi, Operations Manager of Success4All, said: “I am thrilled to announce Success4All is updating and improving our EAL and MFL services by partnering with The Language Centre CIC.
“By combining our qualifications, expertise and experience, we will be able to prepare more pupils for their Modern Foreign Language exams and speed up the English language learning process for students who have English as an Additional Language.
“We hope that our language services will allow young people to feel proud of their heritage and be inspired to hold on to their mother tongue.”
Faïza Ariech, Managing Director and Founder of The Language Centre CIC, said: “As a Community Interest Company, we are excited to partner with another organisation that shares the same ethos as us.
“We hope to support as many schools and learners as possible across the region, with our joint expertise”.
