TEAM S4A SMASH THE GREAT NORTH RUN 2022
On the 11th of September 2022, five brave individuals came together to take on the Great North Run for Success4All.
The 13.1-mile route starts in Newcastle upon Tyne and finishes on the award-winning coast of South Shields.
The hilly route is no small feat but Team S4A which was made up of Caroline Afolabi Deleu, Kevin Ditshego-Taiwo, Fadia Abdulhalim, Adenike Afolabi & Loujane Alasi managed to smash the challenge.
Not only that, but together they managed to raise a whooping £2,9254.40 towards our digital divide fundraising campaign. At the same time, they helped spread awareness of the work we do here at Success4All both locally and nationally.
One week before the Great North Run, we had a special visit to the Success4All office from a BBC film crew who wanted to hear from our young people about the work we do. During their visit, they spoke to our Media Communications Officer, Loujane and two of our young people, Jessica and Sophie. The film was later broadcasted on the live BBC Great North Run and displayed across the large screens dotted across the Great North Run trail. Once, rested and recovered, Caroline said: “What an experience! What an exhilarating event. Thank you to this lovely bunch running for Success4All and Thank YOU to all our sponsors.”

Tough? Nah, it was brutal but totally worth every mile of pain as it was all for an incredible charity – @S4ALearningHubs. I couldn’t have asked for a better first time experience, which was made extra special thanks to @Great_Run https://t.co/HLzeKl1Kd1 pic.twitter.com/tY6UK6Jo9h
